Terms of Service

1. The service

These terms form an agreement between you and GRADIENT SYMPHONY PTE. LTD. ("we", "us", or "our"), the owner and operator of editable qr code.

editable qr code lets you create dynamic QR codes whose destination and content you can change without reprinting, and view scan analytics. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may also discontinue the service or any feature with 30 days' notice by email to your account address or a notice in the app.

2. Account registration & security

You must be at least 16 years old and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

You may invite team members to your account. You are responsible for their actions and their access levels.

3. Trials, plans & billing

New accounts get a 7-day free trial with full access. No credit card is required. After the trial you must select a paid plan to keep your codes redirecting.

Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

14-day refund guarantee: if you are not satisfied with the service within 14 days of your first subscription payment, contact support for a full refund. This applies once per account, to the first billing cycle only.

If payment lapses, codes enter a 7-day grace period (links stay live) and then pause. Your data is retained and reactivates on payment. Taxes are not included in advertised prices — applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use editable qr code to link to malware, phishing, or unlawful content, to distribute spam, or to abuse the service or API.

You may not attempt to exceed rate limits, reverse-engineer the service, or resell access without a written agreement.

We may suspend or terminate codes or accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice where we reasonably believe harm is occurring.

5. Your content & licence

You retain ownership of your content — the destinations your codes point to, images you upload, and data you enter.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and display your content as needed to operate the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account.

You are responsible for ensuring your content complies with applicable laws and does not infringe others' rights.

6. Intellectual property

The editable qr code platform, including its software, design, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by GRADIENT SYMPHONY PTE. LTD. and protected by intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the service for your business during your subscription. This is not a sale; you acquire no ownership rights.

7. Third-party services

The service relies on third-party providers (payment processing via Stripe, hosting and data storage via Supabase/Vercel, email delivery via Resend). Their availability, policies, and pricing may change.

We are not responsible for third-party outages, changes, or data handling beyond what is required to operate our service.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, experience outages, or make changes that temporarily affect availability.

Scheduled maintenance will be announced in the app where practical. We are not liable for downtime, data loss during outages, or business losses resulting from unavailability.

9. Term, termination & data

These terms apply from when you create your account and continue until you close it or we terminate it.

You may close your account at any time from the dashboard. Your codes will stop redirecting and your data will be scheduled for deletion within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.

We may terminate or suspend your account: (a) for violation of these terms, effective immediately or after notice at our discretion; or (b) for any other reason with 30 days' notice.

Upon termination, we may delete your data. Export your content before closing your account — we cannot recover it after deletion.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect.

Continuing to use the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree, you may close your account before the change takes effect.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

We specifically disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising from or relating to the service shall not exceed the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, even if we have been advised of the possibility.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as liability for fraud or gross negligence where applicable).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your content or the destinations your codes point to; (b) your violation of these terms or applicable law; or (c) your infringement of any third party's rights.

We will defend you against third-party claims that the service itself infringes their intellectual property, provided you notify us promptly and let us control the defence.

14. Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labour disputes, internet failures, utility outages, government actions, or failures of third-party providers.

15. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Singapore, unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local jurisdiction.

Before initiating court proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute by contacting us first — many issues can be resolved quickly through support.
